Hey Neighbors,
The year of the dragon is upon us, which I don’t believe is a reference to yard pests, as last year appeared to be the year of the muskrat. Perhaps I’m speaking too soon. Let’s wait and see what spring holds. Maybe we’ll be slaying bigger pests.
Speaking of spring, we’re expecting it to come in like a lion as always, and that’s because we have an annual meeting coming up – which we now do annually. The meeting will be a chance to hear updates, express your opinion on HOA decisions, and perhaps do some light reading while you’re there. (The Red Cactus was booked, so we’ll be meeting at the Library this time).
The Details
February 27th
Time: 6:30 to 8:00

On the Agenda:
This year, we intend to talk about capital projects. We maintain a healthy surplus, which is critical when major events come up, like a significant need for snow plowing or a Timberlakes resident crashing into our entryway sign. But should the spring sunshine be upon us, there may be opportunities for other capital improvements. Should we hire out some street cleaning? Should we build a parking garage? Should we build a stone monument with the faces of our board members, like Mount Rushmore? We’ll be asking you for your feedback.
Other items are being developed and subject to procrastination.
What Else is Going On?
The Budget
The budget is in the works and will be presented at the board meeting. For reference, you can see budget reports from the last three years right here. Note that this page is password-protected. If you’re receiving this by email, reply here or email board@timberfield.net to get access.
Snow Plowing
Thanks to climate change, we’re not expecting a winter this year, but in the off chance that we get one, we’ll need to be ready for snow plows. If you park on the street, you’ll want to be prepared. Please be aware that if snow exceeds three inches, our contractor will be plowing. You’ll want to be sure to move your vehicle and add markers by any critical items close to the curb.
We’ll see you at this year’s annual meeting.
Best regards (and best yards),
Your Neighbors at Timberfield.
